General António Florêncio de Sousa Pinto (1818-1890), General of Division (Artillery).
He enlisted at the age of 15, in 1833, shortly after taking part in the last campaigns of the Civil War; in 1844, took part in the siege of Almeida, and in 1846-47 took part in the War of Patuleia. Later on, he was Aide-de-Camp to HM King D. Luís I, a Peer of the Realm, and President of the Portuguese Red Cross Society.
Général António Florêncio de Sousa Pinto (1818-1890)
Général de division, venant de l’arme d’artillerie. Il s’engage à l’âge de 15 ans, en 1833, et participa bientôt aux dernières campagnes de la guerre civile; en 1844, participa au siège d’Almeida et, en 1846-1847, à la guerre de Patuleia. Plus tard, il a été Aide de Camp de S.M. le Roi D. Luis Ier, Pair du Royaume et président de la Société portugaise de la Croix-Rouge.
