In order to strenghthen bonds and exchange information some European Phaleristic Societies (namely from Belgium, Denmark, Portugal, Switzerland and The Netherlands) have been meeting regularly since 2005, when the Orders and Medals Society of Denmark (OMSD) organised the I European Meeting, at Copenhagen.
Other important Phaleristic European Societies, namely from Austria, Germany, Ireland, Slovakia and the United Kingdom, unfortunatley have not yet cared to adhere this movement, although quite a few of their distinguished members do attend these European Meetings.
The II Meeting took place in Brussels, in 2006 (SKF); the III, in Geneva, in 2009 (SSP); the IV, in Lisbon, in 2010 (AFP); the V, in 2011, again in Copenhagen (OMSD); the VI, in 2012, in Brussels (SKF) and now the VII will take place in Zeist, The Netherlands, organised by STUDIEKRING RIDDERORDEN EN ONDERSCHEIDINGEN (SRO).
